Burroughs Middle Schools is an LAUSD comprehensive modernization project that includes renovation and new construction. The renovation part included four buildings (Administration/ Auditorium, Gymnasium, Classroom Bldg., and Girls Lockers). Commissioning service for the renovated buildings included the replacement of the HVAC systems, the lighting system and lighting controls, power distribution, energy management systems, Photo Voltaic (PV) system infrastructure, and irrigation systems. The New Construction aspect of the project encompasses two new buildings, a 2 story Classroom Building, and a new Food Services Facility with Lunch Shelter. The scope of commissioning services for the new buildings included commissioning of buildings envelope, HVAC, lighting system and lighting controls, power distribution, energy management systems, Photo Voltaic (PV) system infrastructure and integration, acoustical performance, and Irrigation Systems.

Drew Middle Schools was an LAUSD Critical HVAC Repair and replacement of existing equipment that provide heating and cooling to classrooms. Two existing chillers and air handler units located in mechanical rooms at buildings A and B were removed and replaced; this work included pumps, piping, valves, insulation, and all equipment and controls; HVAC systems, Air Handling Units, Exhaust Fans, domestic hot water system, HVAC Line Voltage electrical equipment, and a new Environmental Controls and Energy Management System. The commissioning services delivered in compliance with District’s standards, Codes, regulations, and applicable industry standards.

The Reseda Charter High School Modernization Project includes new buildings and various site improvements. This critical repair/modernization commissioning project will be executed following the requirements set forth in the California code of regulations, Tittle 24, Part 6. This project will pursue CHPS certification. The period and extent of commissioning will be in accordance with LAUSD’s Design and construction schedules.
