Architectural and engineering design services for the Renovation/Replacement of HVAC system throughout the entire campus. Our responsibilities included, but were not limited to field investigation and coordination of existing conditions with new design requirements, evaluation and assessment of structural conditions of the areas affected by the new work and preparation of related architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction documents.

Responsible for conducting electrical evaluations, structural evaluations, mechanical evaluation analysis and electrical design to provide electrical power for all new HVAC equipment associated with the COPS program in the gymnasium. In addition, structural details
were designed for mounting the new HVAC units in accordance with current applicable codes, industry standards and LAUSD special requirements. Structural evaluations were conducted to provide proper instructions to contractor for mounting of the new equipment in the existing gymnasium. This project required coordination with district personnel, site investigation, survey of existing conditions, evaluation, reporting, and preparation of construction drawings.
Our responsibilities included but were not limited to field investigations to determine existing architectural and infrastructure conditions, coordination and interfacing with existing mechanical system, elevator recall, PA system, sprinkler system (FS/TS, PIV), kitchen Ansul systems, and any other applicable existing auxiliary systems; the detection system included full area coverage with smoke detectors in every room, and heat detectors in combustible accessible attic spaces, and the annunciation or notification portion included audible and visual devices in accordance with applicable codes and standards, and in compliance with city ordinances and the Building Department.
